Homework 7 is a review of intervals in a 20th century context. For the present assignment we will represent identify by an integer representing the number of half steps the interval contains, e.g., prime = 0, m2 = 1, M2 = 2, m3 = 3, etc.). When the intervals are melodic (notes played in succession) we will precede the integer with a +/- sign to indicate direction. There are four problems in the assignment, identifying melodic intervals, identifying harmonic intervals, interval series, and short two part problems.
